Delores M. Saiers, 94, of South Williamsport passed away peacefully Thursday, May 28, 2026 at WeCare.
Born May 26, 1932 in Montgomery, she was a daughter of the late Freeman and Florence (Strohknecker) Metzger.
Delores was a graduate of South Williamsport High School and she married the late Albert Lee Saiers on August 23, 1948. Together they shared 63 years of marriage before his passing in 2011.
Delores devoted more than 30 years to selling Avon, where she found great joy in helping her many loyal customers and was very successful in her work. She had a spunky personality, could be feisty at times, and always spoke her mind. Above all, she loved her family and her beloved dogs. Delores also had a special love for butterflies and enjoyed collecting bells and wind chimes. An avid camper, she cherished the time spent at her campsite and, when she wasn’t tending to her home, she could often be found enjoying the outdoors.
Surviving are her two children, Ron Saiers of Williamsport and Mary Lou Kelly (Robert) of South Williamsport; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and James Saiers; and three siblings.
A viewing will be held from 11-12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Williamsport. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
