David E. Lehman, Jr. Obituary

David E. Lehman, Jr., 87, of South Williamsport, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at home.


He was the beloved husband of Polly A. Lehman.


Born September 22, 1938, David graduated from Williamsport High School in 1957.


He honorably served his country in the Navy for four years and in the United States Army for 25 years.


David was active with the Zafar Grotto & Rafaz Club, South Williamsport and American Legion, Post 1, Williamsport, along with other various clubs.


In addition to his wife, Mr. Lehman is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Novalis; two sons, Scott and David Paul Lehman (Larynn); step-daughter, Cheryl Kurtz (Steve); step-son, Brent Frank, Jr. (Susan); half-sisters, Jeri Simon (Leo), Betty Shirtz and Frances Robinson; as well as four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, who brought great joy to his life.


A service to honor the life of David will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, June 2nd at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport, beginning with a Masonic Service and concluding with Military Honors.


Family will receive relatives and friends from 10 AM until the time of the service, also at Sanders.


Burial will be held at a later date.


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037, honoring David’s grandson, Grayson.
