David L. Hoffman, 71, of Linden, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital.
Born and raised in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Calvin D. and Jean S. (Schlee) Hoffman and was a 1970 graduate of Williamsport High School.
Most days, you could find Dave in his garage, happily tinkering or working on a classic car from his collection; some restored and some a work in progress.
Always ready to lend a hand (or a tow), he was known for showing up with his wrecker whenever someone found themselves stuck.
Mr. Hoffman is survived by his daughters, Wendy Trimble (Brett) of Trout Run, Shirley Hoffman of Hughesville, Dawn Hoffman of Hughesville, and Susan Pertucci of South Carolina; grandchildren, Amber Hoffman, Joan Hoffman, Brett Trimble, II (Rachael), Kayla Trimble (Levi Hall), and Ryan Hoffman; six great grandchildren; and brother, James Hoffman (Deb) of Port Jervis, New York.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brother, Paul Hoffman; sister, Sherry Randolph; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Bower.
Services honoring the life of Dave Hoffman will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025 with a visitation from 5 to 6 pm, followed by a service at 6 pm at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport.
Interment will be held privately for the family at Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
