Dale E. Holcomb, Sr.

Dale E. Holcomb, Sr., 80, of Montoursville, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024, at his home.

Born on December 1, 1943, in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Harold Edward and Flossie Elizabeth (Marshall) Holcomb. Dale retired from the trucking industry, and during his career he worked for Pickelner Fuel Company and Valley Farms. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Dale and his wife were bowling fanatics, bowling together for many years. They played on numerous teams at several local lanes including Faxon Bowling Lanes, Harvest Moon Lanes, Montour Bowling Lanes and ABC Bowling Lanes.

Surviving are his loving wife of 45 years Olivia “Libby” (Reese) Holcomb; two daughters, Elizabeth I. Grassmyer (Jim), and Lisa K. Bradford (Shawn); one son, Dale E. Holcomb, Jr.; eight grandchildren, Austin, Devin, Gaige, Jacob, Jessica, Patrick, Elizabeth, and Eric; four great-grandchildren, Jayden, Lincoln, Wesley, and Eric, Jr., and one sister, Debbie DeLong.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dale’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
