Connie Mae (Crist) Corter, 78 of Reading PA, went home to be with the Lord on January 2, 2025 in the Reading Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Connie was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt. Connie is preceded in death by her parents Carl A Crist, Sr. and Dolly M. (Hafer) Crist, her husband Dale E. Corter and her brother, Carl A. Crist Jr. Connie is survived by her daughter’s, Melissa R. Young and Natalie R. Arslan (Mehmet Arslan) and her three granddaughters, Melanie Rojas (Carlos Rojas), Morgan Young, and Alara Arslan and her grandson, Eren Arslan. Connie is also survived by her sister-in-law Roxanne (Rummings) Crist and her nieces, Calie (Crist) Eager (Ben Eager), and Adrienne (Crist) Bell (Logan Bell).

Connie was born In Williamsport PA on December 7, 1946. Connie was raised in Jersey Shore PA. and graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1964. Connie furthered her education at Shippensburg University completing her undergraduate degree there and later received a master’s degree in education from Bloomsburg University. Connie was a Business Education teacher in the Jersey Shore Area School District for the majority of her teaching career.

Connie is a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church. Connie was very active in her church by being involved in supporting sending out the newsletters and in a Bible Study. Connie was living at the Heritage of Green Hills where she was an active participant in multiple committees and groups including her cheerleading team the “Heritage Hotties”. She was previously a member of Jersey Shore Trinity United Methodist Church and the Williamsport District United Methodist Women. Connie was a previous member of the Hyner Mountain Snowmobile Club, the Tiadaghton Junior Women’s Club and the Sassy Ladies of the Jersey Shore Chapter of the Red Hat society.

Connie loved the Lord and had a big personality that lit up every room she went into. Her favorite saying was “let the fun happen”. Connie loved others and had a deep sense of empathy for the people she cared for. Connie could be found spending time with her family and friends enjoying the activities of dancing, singing, traveling, and attending church.

A funeral service to honor Connie’s life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at Sanders. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Jersey Shore Cemetery.
