Clifford L. "Cliff" Horn, 80, of Linden entered his eternal home in Heaven, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 2, 2023.
Surviving is his loving wife of 59 years, Bonnie J. (Pepperman) Horn.
Born June 8, 1943 in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Clyde and Beatrice (Waltz) Horn.
Cliff was a graduate of Jersey Shore High School Class of 1960.
He was an active member of Anthony Baptist Church. Cliff loved the Lord, his family and friends. He brought his family up to know their Lord, a legacy that continues with his grandchildren, great grandchild and those to come.
At an early age he understood the value of hard work, growing up on the family farm. He drove school bus for the Jersey Shore School District, milk truck for Valley Farms and also worked construction.
Cliff found his niche as a carpenter, and built the home where he and Bonnie lived for 47 years raising their family. He worked as a carpenter journeyman before being hired at Textron-Lycoming and retiring after 25 years. Never one to sit around, he was also the owner and operator of Clifford Horn Trucking, LLC during those years.
In his leisure time, Cliff was an avid hunter and a proud member of the Stoney Gap Hunting Club, a love he passed on to his grandson Alex. Above all, Cliff was a family man who cherished time spent with his loved ones, knowing the value of a shared meal, story, and laugh.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Cheryl Plankenhorn (James) of South Williamsport and Cathi Reske (Christopher) of Pasadena, MD; four grandchildren, Alex Plankenhorn (Lydia), Luke Plankenhorn, Brayden and Madison Reske; a great granddaughter, Blair Plankenhorn; four sisters, Marilyn Meisel of Florida, Eileen Baskin of Cogan Station, Janice Lovell of Jersey Shore, and Linda Smith of Wyoming; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by granddaughter Taylor Plankenhorn.
A memorial service to honor the life of Cliff will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, November 9 at Anthony Baptist Church, 4570 Queneshuckney Rd., Jersey Shore with Pastor Dan Patrick officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at church. Burial will be private in Wildwood Cemetery.
