Cleda A. Dangle, 95, of Williamsport, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024 at Williamsport North Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She is finally reunited with the love of her life and late husband of 67 years, Dean W. “Jake” Dangle, who passed away February 26, 2015.
Born March 2, 1928, in Nippenose Township, she was the daughter of the late Frank S. and Zelma P. (Hauser) Eck.
Cleda was a 1946 graduate of Williamsport High School. She proudly turned her Grimesville Road house into a home where she raised her three sons and spent over 60 years. Above all else, Cleda enjoyed her family and spending time with them.
In her younger years, she enjoyed sewing as well as cooking and baking for her family. She and Jake were members of the former Ascension Catholic Church where they were active in Lenten meals and church activities. She was a current member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish.
Cleda is survived by three sons, Gary D. Dangle (Pam) of Collomsville, Terry M. Dangle of Herkimer, NY, and Gerald D. Dangle (Susan) of Cogan Station; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dorland Eck (Carlene) of Cascade; and a sister, Celia Aderhold of Cogan Station.
A funeral service to honor Cleda’s life will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery.
