Celia M. Aderhold, 95, of Cogan Station, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024 at home, surrounded by her family. An angel on earth, who now has her heavenly wings.
Born March 11, 1929, in Linden, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Zelma (Hauser) Eck. Celia graduated from Williamsport High School in 1947. She married the love of her life, the late U.S. Army veteran, Jarvis C. Aderhold, in 1955. Before retirement, Celia worked in business administration for both E. Keeler Company and Wire Rope Credit Union. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, and the former Church of the Ascension. Celia was strong in her faith and relationship with God. When Celia was in good health, she delighted in serving her church community as a reader and preparing dinners for church functions. Celia also served her family as a wonderful homemaker. For many years she sewed her children’s clothes and canned different foods, passing both skills down to her family. She also found tranquility in gardening and enjoyed having fun with her siblings at casinos.
Surviving are her three children, Luke L. (Maria Daniele) Aderhold of Linden, Cynthia A. Black of Cogan Station, and Tina M. (Duane) Daniels of Montoursville. She also leaves behind two grandsons, Brok M. Aderhold and Chase L. Aderhold, both of Cogan Station; four great-grandchildren, Gianna Mae Aderhold, Aurora Sky Aderhold, Giovanni Lydell Aderhold, and Reece Angelo Aderhold; one brother, Dorland F. (Carlene) Eck of Trout Run; brother-in-law, Tom Aderhold, sister-in-law, Shirley Sechrist, and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
Along with her parents and husband, Celia was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Chris Black, sister, Cleda A. Dangle, and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services to honor the life of Celia will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. Burial will follow in Stoltz Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Sanders Mortuary.
