Catheran "Cathie" Jackson-Oliver

Catheran "Cathie" Jackson-Oliver, 77, a lifelong resident of Williamsport, passed away on August 2, 2024.

Cathie was born on May 9, 1947, to the late Robert and Dorothy (Hinkal) Lupole. She was a proud graduate of Williamsport Area High School, Class of 1965. Cathie was employed many years as a legal secretary at Miele and Callahan Law Firm followed by Cady’s newsstand.  She finally worked at At&t from which she retired.  Her interests and hobbies were a reflection of her vibrant spirit. She relished in the tradition of cooking holiday meals, an activity that brought her family together around the table. A fan of TV game shows, Cathie could often be found cheering on contestants and solving crossword puzzles from her living room. She enjoyed lottery scratch-offs and had a knack for crafts and cross-stitching. Her true passion was being an active grandma, which ensured her days were filled with laughter, play, and endless love.

Cathie leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 30 years, Gary Oliver; two children, Brenna Schemery and Beau Schemery; four cherished grandchildren, Autumn Grella, Aurora Schemery, Markiah Bell (William), and Karenna Jenkins. She is also survived by two brothers, Larry Lupole and Robert Lupole (Tiesha), along with her niece, Melissa Lupole-Phillips (Barry).

In keeping with Cathie’s wishes, services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
