Casey L. Metzger

Casey L. Metzger, 50, of Picture Rocks died peacefully surrounded by family Monday, July 24, 2023.

Born October 7, 1972 in Williamsport he was a son of the late Gary L. Metzger.

Casey's life was a testament to his adventurous spirit, kindness, and passion for all things mechanical.

Casey was a man of diverse talents and interests. His work history was as varied as his interests, reflecting his nature as a "jack of all trades." His ability to fix anything that had a motor and wheels and then ride it was legendary among his friends and family. His love for riding his Harley, in all weather was a defining aspect of his personality, symbolizing his love for freedom and the open road. Casey enjoyed the outdoors and could often be found, fishing, bird watching and hunting for arrowheads.

As a loving and devoted husband, he leaves behind his wife of 29 years, Kimberly (Dagitz) Metzger; three children, Tehani Dunbar (Josh), Donald Metzger (Faith) and John Dagitz and six grandchildren Hayden, Aubrey, Baxter, Gary, Alyee, and Gage who were his pride and joy. As a father and "Poppy" Casey showed his love and affection in many ways including his sink or swim methods for teaching life lessons.
He also leaves behind, friends who were like siblings, Anna, Steve and Leo, as well as many extended family members.

Casey lived his life full throttle, embodying an active and enthusiastic spirit as a friend of Bill W. He was committed to his journey of personal growth and service to others and his kindness and passion was a beacon for many.

A visitation to honor the life of Casey will be held from 2-4 pm, Friday, July 28th at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Williamsport. Come as you are. His final ride will depart at 4 p.m.
