Carole Jeanne Regel, 85, of Williamsport, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Williamsport Home.
Born January 29, 1939, in South Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Howard E. and Mary Beulah (Wilson) Heim. Carole graduated from South Williamsport High School and soon after, married the love of her life, Frederick Regel on March 27, 1957. They celebrated 31 wonderful years of marriage together before his death in 1988. Carole was a retired seamstress, having shared her talented skills by making clothing and wedding gowns for her community. She also worked at Henry’s BBQ. She spent numerous hours with her sister Lynda, creating and painting wood trinkets to sell at craft fairs and the Lewisburg Farmers Market. Her hobbies included working jigsaw puzzles and adult coloring books.
Surviving are her two daughters, Joy Quiggle (Dave) of Williamsport, and Paula Myers (Dave) of Montgomery; four grandchildren, Stacie, Kyle, Gregory, and Bryan; seven great-grandchildren, Liliana, Kanon, Aubrey, Briley, Kendall, Bristol, and Grant. Carole also leaves behind her brother Howard Heim, Jr. and sister, Susan Shaffer.
Along with her parents and husband, Carole was also preceded in death by a sister, Lynda Matlack.
A funeral to honor the life of Carole will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2024, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at Sanders Mortuary.
