Candace Alicia Basey, 41, of Williamsport passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at UPMC Williamsport.
Born December 12, 1982, she was a daughter of Susan M. Reynolds and John A. Basey. Alicia attended Williamsport High School, graduating in 2001. She went on to become a CNA where she carried on her love for people and giving back. Alicia had a loving childhood filled with adventure, family and fun. Family always being most important to her. Alicia enjoyed sports, the outdoors, swimming at Nanas and all the family gatherings on holidays at Nanas.
Alicia’s greatest joys and accomplishments were being a mother to her two beautiful children, creating some of her most treasured memories with them. Alicia was a beacon of joy, consistently greeting the world with an unwavering smile that could brighten the darkest of days. Her warm spirit and radiant personality were truly a gift, enabling her to light up any room she entered.
She was preceded in death by her father, John A. Basey; maternal grandmother, Patrica M. Buck; her Aunt Tammy Collins; her Uncle Allen Reynolds.
Alicia’s mother, Susan M. Reynolds “Ms. Sue” passed away just 22 days after Alicia.
Alicia leaves behind her daughter, Alycia M. McIntosh and son, Angel Rivera Jr.; one brother, Aaron Basey; two sisters, Misty D. Reynolds and Nya Drummond; and many nieces and nephews, all of the Williamsport and Lock Haven Area.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 3:30 p.m. Friday, August 23, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport.
The family will bury Alicia and her mother, Susan’s cremains privately in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery beside her Uncle and Nana.
