Calvin S. Myers, 97, of Loyalsock, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at the Williamsport Home with his loving wife of 70 years, Janet L. (Bertin) Myers and his family by his side.
Born October 19, 1926, in Jersey Shore, he was a son of the late James H. and Verna M. (Fidler) Myers.
He was extremely proud to be a veteran of the United States Army, knowing that he protected his country during the Korean War. Calvin worked as a painter in the area. He was a member of American Legion Post #104, Montoursville and a faithful member of St. Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Above all, Calvin's role as a family man was his most cherished. His unwavering support and guidance were the pillars upon which his family thrived.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Philip C. Myers (Kay), of Montoursville, and Paula J. Hamm (Michael) of Winchester, VA; five grandchildren, Joseph (Paige), Jacob (Kerri) and Rachel Hamm, Alexander (Melanie) and Spencer Myers; and four great-grandchildren, Lucas, Leah, Liam, and Harriet.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, James Myers, Raymond Myers, Luther Myers, and Coralie Rolley.
A funeral service to honor Calvin’s life will be held 11 a.m., May 15, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. Burial will follow in Jersey Shore Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at Sanders.
