Brenda Marie Spotts Obituary

Brenda M. Spotts, 52, of Charleston, West Virginia, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Thomas Memorial Hospital surrounded by family.


She was the beloved wife of Benjamin Stewart, with whom she shared 14 years of marriage.


Born in Buffalo, NY, Brenda was the daughter of Carol A. (Stimpson) Spotts of Williamsport and the late Clarence H. “Butch” Spotts. 


Brenda was an employee of Klein & Associates Clinic in Hagerstown, MD for the last 13 years and was dedicated to managing their clinical studies. 


Brenda was an auxiliary member of the American Legion #422 Ladies Auxiliary in Renovo, PA and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 519 in Charleston, WV.


In addition to yearly trips to the beach, Brenda loved to hear the joyful laughter of her friends and family and sharing her wonderful smile.


In addition to her husband and mother, Brenda is survived by her sisters, Kathleen J. Hoffman (Daniel) and Laura A. Spotts and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Brenda also leaves behind special friends Lori Harbaugh of Hagerstown, MD and Judy Cochran of West Virginia.


She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert W. Spotts, step-father, Ray T. Huffman, and step-mother, Cindy A. Spotts.


A service to honor the life of Brenda will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport, where a visitation will take place from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.


Burial to follow her service in North Bend Cemetery in North Bend, Clinton County.
