Brad A. Horak, 64, affectionately known as Brad to his friends and family, left this world on November 4, 2024, in his hometown of Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Born on December 3, 1959, also in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Warren and Marian (Francis) Horak. Brad's life was a testament to the love and dedication he had for his family, his work, and his community.
Brad graduated from Williamsport Area High School with the class of 1977, where he was known for his intelligence and kind spirit. He went on to dedicate 43 years of his life to his career as a warranty coordinator at Lycoming Engines, a role in which his meticulous nature and commitment to excellence were greatly valued by his colleagues and associates. Brad's professional life was marked not only by his dedication but also by the warmth and generosity he extended to all who worked alongside him.
Family was the cornerstone of Brad's life. He is survived by his loving brother, Todd Horak and wife Mia of Gambrillis, Maryland; his sister-in-law, Gloria Reillo of Williamsport, PA; his nephew, Alex Horak; his daughter, Melonie Horak-Horn; and his son, Eric Horak and his wife Kayla, both of Williamsport, PA. Brad was a cherished grandfather to Lily Horak of Williamsport, PA; Dominic Horn of Hughesville, PA; Madison Horn of Williamsport, PA; and Alexcia Horn of Williamsport, PA. His role as a great-grandfather to Aria Reed of Williamsport, PA; Kinsley and Gabriella Horn of Hughesville, PA brought him immense joy and pride. He also leaves behind his four cats, Kiki, Nala, Twin and Patches, and his beloved beagle, King.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by the love of his life, Paula M. Horak; and two brothers, Kurt and David Horak.
Brad will be remembered as a loving and intelligent man who lived a life of generosity. He had a passion for football, often spending his leisure time engrossed in games on TV, cheering on his favorite teams with the same fervor he approached every aspect of his life. His love for the outdoors was equally evident, as he found solace and pleasure in the beauty of nature, whether it was a quiet walk or a family gathering under the open sky.
He was a man who would go to great lengths for those he loved, embodying the true spirit of selflessness. Brad's unwavering support and guidance were the foundations upon which his family built their dreams and aspirations. His legacy is one of love, commitment, and the deep bonds he fostered with each person he touched.
In the hearts of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Brad's memory will live on as the grandfather who imparted wisdom and laughter in equal measure. His stories, advice, and the warmth of his embrace will be carried forward as treasured heirlooms of the soul.

A memorial service to celebrate Brad’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service, Saturday, at Sanders.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Brad’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
