Bette A. "Betsy" (Fladd) Hawkins

Bette A. “Betsy” Hawkins, 69, of Trout Run, died peacefully at home, Saturday, November 16, 2024.

She was the wife of Steven W. Hawkins. United in marriage on September 16, 1972. They shared 52 years of marriage.

Born April 30, 1955 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence H. Fladd and Isabell (Marsh) Fladd.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two children; Melinda Alexander of Trout Run, and Steven W. II (Adrienne) of Carlisle; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Barry Marsh (Annette) of Big Fork Montana, Lawrence H Fladd (Chris) of Trout Run, James “Spike” Fladd (Shelley) of Canada; and a sister, Marsha Hawkins (Nick) of Trout Run. As well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many close family friends. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; John “Jack” Fladd and Jeffrey Fladd.

For many years, she enjoyed waitressing at local restaurants. Most people will remember her from Tag’s where she was employed 20 plus years.

She was a member of Red Run and The Wheel Inn. She enjoyed going to the beach and the family river lot. She also enjoyed reading and hosting gatherings of family and friends.
