Beryl Mae Martin, 94, of Cogan Station, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at home with family by her side.

Born March 14, 1930, in Wellsboro, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Leona (Richmond) O’Donnell. She married the love of her life in 1976, Robert P. Martin Sr., and spent 35 years together before his passing in 2012. 

Beryl graduated from Wellsboro High School and attended Emmanuel Baptist Church. She always said the Bible became her first love and she also enjoyed traditional hymns.

Her early years were spent on the factory floors however, Beryl's true vocation lay in the sanctuary of her home. She meticulously cared for her family, creating an environment rich in love, support, and the sweet aroma of home-cooked meals.

Beryl found solace in the beauty of nature, going for walks and gazing out the window in quiet contemplation, admiring the squirrels, birds, and deer that frequented her yard. She loved to read magazines and was skilled at natural medicine, always keeping her body well.

Beryl is survived by four children, Sharon Cope (Tom) of FL, Donna Mundrick of Cogan Station, Susan Packard of South Williamsport, and Bruce Trautner of SC; as well as 12 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by a son David Trautner, and two siblings, Willard and Mary O’Donnell.

A funeral service to honor Beryl’s life will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 3 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Williamsport. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service, on Wednesday at Sanders.
