Born December 4, 1929 in Pittsburgh he was a son of the late Andrew Valentine and Laura Belle (White) Stripp.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of F.&A.M. Lodge #106, Williamsport and American Legion Post #36, Jersey Shore.
Barney was a dedicated service representative for J.I. Case Tractors for over 50 years. His love for tractors was not just confined to his professional life; it was also one of his personal interests. Barney was a skilled mechanic who traveled across the country and took great pride in his ability to keep the machines running smoothly.
Barney was a man of great character, known for his loving nature, gentle demeanor, and selfless acts of kindness. He was a doting husband and an all-around good man, always putting the needs of others before his own. A dedicated husband, he enjoyed doing all things with Shirley, especially escaping the cold winters of Pennsylvania by heading to Florida.
A devoted family man, he cherished the time he spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His love for his family was evident in every interaction, every smile, and every word.
Surviving is a daughter, Lori Paulhamus (Dennis) of Jersey Shore; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Stripp of Jersey Shore; four grandchildren, Stephanie (Scott), Scott (Angie), Caitlyn (Tyler) and Haley (Bill); six great-grandchildren, Lee, Cru, Wesson, Maddison, Rocky and Holden; and many nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
