Barbara A. (Best) Ulmer

Mrs. Barbara A. Ulmer (Best), 81, of Rose Valley Road, Trout Run, passed away Monday, May 26, 2025 at home.

Born June 3, 1943, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Arthur F. and Ruth A. (Graham) Best. She was married June 15, 1963, to Ronald E. Ulmer, Sr. for 52 years before his passing in May, 2016.

Barbara was a 1961 graduate from the South Williamsport High School. She was a member of the Rose Valley United Methodist Church.

Barb had been employed as a receptionist and retired in 2000 as a receptionist at McNerney, Page, Vanderlin and Hall from 1995 to 2000. 

Surviving is a daughter, Susan Marie Bower (Matthew), of Williamsport; a grand-daughter April Mae Ulmer, of Trout Run; grandsons, Jakob Evan Bower and Chase Matthew Bower, of Williamsport. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Jeanetta Ulmer and Carol Ulmer; and a brother-in-law, Randall Ulmer (Jeanne).

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Ronald E. Ulmer, Jr.

In keeping with her wishes, a private graveside service to honor Barb’s life will be held at Rose Valley Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Mark Brumbaugh.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barb’s name to the Susquehanna Health Foundation, Home Care and Hospice, 1001 Grampian Boulevard, Williamsport, PA 17701.
