Barbara A. Robinson, 85, of South Williamsport went home to be with the Lord May 21, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 31 years, R. Clair Robinson.
Born January 6, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Charles W. Bassett and Sarah F. (Marquette) Hall and step daughter of Arthur Monroe Hall.
A woman of strong and deep faith, she was a member of Covenant-Central Presbyterian Church and often ministered to others. She loved music and learned to play the organ, piano, clarinet and was a member of the New Horizons Band.
She found great comfort in the surroundings of her home, creating and appreciating the simple things in life. She often spent time outdoors bird watching, feeding the wildlife in her backyard, watching the squirrels, or finding delight tending to her flower beds and yard. Barb was an outstanding cook and baker who loved spending time in the kitchen.
She is survived by five children, Steven Leidhecker (Patty) of Cogan Station, Robert "Bobby" Leidhecker (Aegina) of Williamsport, Brian Robinson (Sandy) of Fivepointville, Brent Robinson (Nancy) of Easton, and Brenda Frontz (Dave) of Allenwood; a brother, Mike Bassett (LeRay) of Brunswick, ME; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service to honor Barbara’s life will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 26 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service on Friday at Sanders.
