Anna L. Stroup

Anna Louise (Laurenson) Stroup, 97, of Williamsport, died on October 22, 2024.  Born on July 11, 1927, she was the only child of Homer L. Laurenson and Euphemia A. (Houseknecht) Laurenson. On September 27, 1947 she married James A. Stroup who predeceased her on February 3, 2014.

Anna was a 1945 graduate of South Williamsport High School. She retired from the former Local 810 Plumbers and Pipefitters where she was secretary to the Business Agent.

She is survived by her daughters Jill M. (Charles) Keller, Williamsport; Sharon L. (Don) Payne, Littleton, CO; Darlene Stroup (Michael Salsman), Mico, TX. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandson. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by daughters Susan J. Cipriani and Lisa A. Rembleski.

Funeral services to honor the life of Anna will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. Her son-in-law Dr. Don J. Payne will be officiating. A visitation will be held prior from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Sanders Mortuary. Burial will follow at Twin Hills Memorial Park.
