Anna R. Solomon, 91, of Huntersville, a devoted servant of God and a beacon of love and faith, passed away, Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Valley View Nursing and Rehab Center. Her final days were spent in Montoursville, where she was surrounded by the warmth of those she had touched so deeply over the years.
Born November 22, 1932, in Bangor, she is a daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Communale) Patti.
Anna's journey through life was one marked by devotion to her Lord and a heartfelt commitment to her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Paul J. Solomon, who passed away on September 26, 2017. Their love story began on December 15, 1956 and together they built a home that was filled with love and laughter. Her hands, always busy, found joy in the soil of their farm, where she cultivated vegetables and blueberries. Anna took immense pride in nurturing the family homestead and ensuring the well-being of her family.
Her voice was a familiar and comforting presence in the church choir. Her passion for singing was only matched by her dedication to sharing her faith, and she did so graciously through bible studies shared with friends for over three decades. She was also one to never miss a Penn State football game, a team she adored very much.
Anna's capacity to make friends with anyone was one of her most remarkable traits. The friendships she cultivated and the staff who cared for her at the Valley View Nursing facility held a special place in her heart.
Surviving are three children, Paul C. Solomon (Sharon) of Atglen, Keith A. Solomon (Karen) of Dillsburg and Denise L. Bosch (John) of Linden; five grandchildren, Stephanie Giannarino (Josh), Rachel McNaughton (Seth), Daniel Solomon (Ellen), Emily Chaffee (Ethan), and David Bosch; and three great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Luke and Tyler.
A graveside service to honor the life of Anna will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, October 19 at Huntersville Trinity Cemetery, Upper Rynerson Road, Mill Creek Twp.
