Anna M. Nelson

Anna M. Nelson, 80, of Williamsport, passed away Thursday, April 23 at Edenbrook North. She has been reunited with her late husband, Ronald Nelson.

Born March 12, 1946, in Buffalo, NY, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Claire Harington.

Anna graduated from Wellsboro high school in 1964 and then earned an associates degree from Cuyamaca College in California. She spent some time working as a secretary for the Institute of Business Management and then spent some time as a home maker, taking care of her children and her home.

Anna loved to spend time with her son Michael, and together they watched soap operas, the news, and Joe Olstein.

Anna is survived by four children, Carl Downs (Andrea Meerani), Michael Stewart, Ray Downs, and Shametha Davis (Milan); seven grandchildren, Lily and Gabriel Davis; Trait and Taylor Downs, Christina Hull, and Christopher and Jospeh Downs; three great-grandchildren, Theo Mundrich, and Aleia and Amaia Hull; as well as five siblings, Bill, Warren, Pat, Dan, and Linda Conners.

In keeping with Anna’s wishes, no services will be held.
