Anna Marie Bittenbender

     Anna Marie Bittenbender, 75, of Williamsport passed away after a lengthy illness on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Williamsport South. 

Born May 30,1948, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Matthew Phoenix, and Esther Meyer. 

    Anna attended the Williamsport Area School District. She spent her life as a homemaker. Her entire world revolved around her children and grandchildren.  

    Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, William R. Bittenbender, in 2016. 

    She was a loving mother to three children; Mark Bittenbender of Scranton, Pa., Melissa Bittenbender of Haverford, Pa., and Matthew Bittenbender of Williamsport, Pa.  

     Anna had seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. 

     A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
