Allen Steele Obituary

     Allen E. Steele, 67, of Williamsport died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 5, 2020. Surviving is his loving wife of 44 years, Mellodee (Breidinger) Steele.

     Born January 24, 1953 in Williamsport he was a son of the late John and Edith (Welshans) Steele.  

     Allen was a graduate of Hughesville High School and attended W.A.C.C. for building construction.

     He was a member of the Montoursville Fire Department, serving as chaplain and fire police, the Duboistown Fire Department, Western Pennsylvania Fire Member Association, Central District Firemen Association, Loyalsock Volunteer Fire Company, Goosenecker Association and the Chicken Headers Club. Allen was a past President of the Pennsylvania State Firemen Association and the Loyalsock and Williamsport Lions Club.

     He had a great talent for his woodcrafts, his passion for bringing joy to others which was he truly adored. Allen enjoyed going to O.C. Maryland to see his firemen friends and family. He loved his granddaughters with all of his heart, as they were his pride and joy.

     Surviving in addition to his wife are his three children, Nathan and Michelle Steele, of Williamsport, and Stephanie Steele, of Milton; three grandchildren, Beviana, Trisha, and Madelyn; brothers, John Steele, of Montoursville and Dennis Steele; and a beloved granddog, Titan.

     In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Janet Getz and Joyce Brussler.

     Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

     In lieu of flowers the family asks for cards and contributions to be sent directly to his loved ones to help with expenses.
