Albert J. Maroni, Jr.

Albert Joseph Maroni, Jr., 63, of Williamsport, affectionately known as “Junior”, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024, at The Gatehouse.

Born June 25, 1960, in Williamsport, he was a son of Albert Joseph Maroni, Sr. and the late Betty C. (Hafer) Maroni.  Junior grew up embracing the outdoors of Lycoming County. He was a member of the Eagle Scouts and attended Votech School for Forestry. After graduating from Williamsport High School in 1978, Junior immediately enlisted in the United States Army Reserve. He worked for many years at Stroehmann Bakeries before retiring from bartending at the Republican League. In his spare-time, Junior enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

Surviving are his four siblings, Charlotte Maroni of Williamsport, Robert “Tony” Maroni of Williamsport, Lewis Maroni, of Williamsport and Bridget Cowher of Williamsport; and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews.

Along with his mother, Junior was also preceded in death by two siblings, Debra Morehart and Harry Maroni.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
