Thomas S. Kopysciansky, 72, of South Williamsport, died peacefully, Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born March 18, 1945 in Shamokin, he was a son of Stephen and Anna (Kiddon) Kopysciansky. He married Linda M. (Ricci) Kopysciansky August 1, 1970 and together they shared 47 years of marriage.

Tom was a graduate of Coal Township High School and Williamsport Area Community College. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from Tetley Tea after 32 years of service.  Tom was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 617.

Tom and Linda enjoyed traveling and going on family vacations. An avid golfer and member at White Deer Golf Course, Tom always looked forward to morning coffee and rounds of golf with all of his buddies. He enjoyed playing in tournaments with his son at Williamsport Country Club and other golf courses in the area. Tom’s most enjoyable days included a round of golf, a good cigar, and time with his family, especially his grandchildren.   

Surviving in addition to his wife Linda, are two children, Brian T. Kopysciansky (Beth) of Loyalsock Twp. and Kristin N. Carper (Ryan) of Loyalsock Twp.; seven grandchildren,  Allie, Chase, Vincent, Summer, Mia, Brayden, and Braxton; and a brother-in-law Gene Ricci of Cogan Station.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday, January 8 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1220 Northway Road, Williamsport. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery.

A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday January 7 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Williamsport.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Tom’s name may be made to his family to start the charitable Tom Kopysciansky Memorial Golf Tournament or St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital 501 Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
