Shirley Sampsell Obituary

Shirley A. Sampsell, 88, passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 at the Gatehouse.

Born July 18, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Willard Swanger and Catherine S. (Manley) Jolly.

In her younger years, Shirley worked as a nurse’s aide in nursing homes.

Surviving are her children, Kathy Santalucia of Williamsport and Patrick Sampsell (Janet) of Lewisburg, eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren with two on the way, one brother, and four sisters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, one sister, and a great-granddaughter.

In keeping with the wishes of the family, services will be private.
