Sara M. Bickel, 75, of Williamsport, passed away Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019, at her home surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth B. Bickel, Sr.
Born May 17, 1944 in Danville, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Shaffer) Zellers, and was raised by her aunt, Ruth Stump.
Sara worked at Trimtex in the spooling department for over 30 years. She also enjoyed her work at The Williamsport Home and the Danville Hospital. Sara loved crafting, especially beading, crocheting and latch hooking. She liked playing PoGo games on the computer and never missed an opportunity to vote in an election, support President Trump or watch FOX News. Sara had strong faith and was a prayer warrior for her family and friends. She adored the time she spent with her granddaughter and great-grandchildren, as well as her neighborhood crew.
Surviving are her children, Debora Bickel, of Hughesville, and Kenneth B. Bickel, Jr. (Kathleen), of Williamsport; a granddaughter, Angela C. Hill (Dennis), of Williamsport, great-granddaughters, Kendra, AubreYuanna, Adalynn and Aliyah; a brother, Paul Zellers, of Montgomery; a sister, Mary C. Dudinskie, of Shamokin; best friends, Vickie Engle and Diann Fairfax; as well as extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kendra R. Bickel, and two sisters, Carol and Dotty.
A celebration of life gathering will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at All Saints Episcopal Church, 1656 Scott St., Williamsport.
