Russell G. Klopp, 76, of Cogan Station, died unexpectedly Saturday, January 5, 2019, at home.
Born May 11, 1942, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Glen R. and Lois (Getgen) Klopp.
A 1960 graduate of Williamsport High School, Russell served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy and later retired from Textron Lycoming Quality Control after 40 years of service.
Russell enjoyed hunting and fishing. He adored his family and loved his children, grandchildren and dog, Poochie, all dearly. Some of Russell's most cherished times were at family get-togethers and sitting on his back porch watching the wildlife on his property.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen Koch (John), of Jersey Shore, and Kimberly Hill (Robert), of Cogan Station; four grandchildren, Trevor, Hailey, Heidi, and Sesily; and two sisters, Ann Parke, and Doris Rowe, both of Montoursville.
A funeral service to honor the life of Russell will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 9, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at Sanders.
