Robert G. “Bob” Dickey, 89, of Cogan Station, died peacefully Monday, December 10, 2018 at Rose View Center.
Born May 10, 1929 in Cogan Station, he was a son of Clair I., Sr. and Hazel K. (Moore) Dickey. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Pearl B. (Dauber) Dickey on May 30, 2005.
Robert was a 1947 graduate of Williamsport High School. He was owner and operator of Dickey Construction and Bob’s Main Gate. He was a member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, where he volunteered for many projects. He was a member of the Red Run Rod & Gun Club and the Wheel Inn, Ralston. Bob was a master carpenter and enjoyed woodworking, he volunteered his woodworking for many family homes, St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, and the Quiggleville Community Hall.
Surviving are three children H. Greg Dickey (Sue) of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, April R. Johnson (Ron) of Los Angeles, CA, and Lisa G. Baird of Cogan Station, 11 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson Matthew Dickey and five siblings Inez, Isabelle, Irene, Jane, and Clair, Jr.
Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14 at Sanders Mortuary 821 Diamond St. Williamsport.
A memorial service to honor Bob’s life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15 at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, 1877 St. Michael’s Road Cogan Station, PA 17728.
Memorial contributions in Bob’s name may be made to St. Michael’s Lutheran Church.
