Phyllis J. Holt, 91, of South Williamsport, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at the Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John T. “Tom” Holt.
Born February 21, 1928, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Margaret G. (Lowmiller) Englert.
Phyllis was employed by Stroehmann Brothers, Wundies, and PA Wirerope. She was a member of Williamsport Assembly of God Church.
Phyllis enjoyed country music, shopping, and taking bus trips with her husband before his passing. She was a good mother who was up for anything and was well-known as being ‘a mother figure’ to her children’s friends. Phyllis loved being a grandmother and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children, Thomas W. Holt (Mary), of Williamsport, Debra J. Burns (Bob), of South Williamsport, and Cindy S. Buss (Randy), of Muncy, nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren, and her beloved cat Puff Ann.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, Clifford Englert and Leonard S. Englert.
A funeral service to honor the life of Phyllis will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 11 at Williamsport Assembly of God, 1230 Sherman St., Williamsport. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at church.
