Patricia A. Merando

Patricia A. Merando, 78, of Williamsport, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at her home.

Born June 30, 1939, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Ashley N. Fetzer and Florence Wagner.

Patricia was a 1959 graduate of Williamsport High School and went on to attend Williamsport Area Community College and later did additional course work at Penn College.  She was a devoted human services employee at Hope Enterprises and truly cared for all those she worked with in group homes. Patricia was a 62 year member of Heshbon Park United Methodist Church, where she faithfully served as part of the prayer chain. Patricia enjoyed doing puzzles, being pampered and having her nails done. She had an extensive 50 state quarter collection with the help of her grandson and was an extremely proud mother and grandma who you could always find loving and caring for others.

Surviving are three children; William J. (Patricia) Merando of Godeffrey, NY, Melissa A. (Ronald) Irwin of Glenn Falls, NY, and Scott M. (Natasha) Merando of Williamsport, six grandchildren, Corey Merando (Jackie), Jacob Merando, Nathan Irwin (Erin), Ryan Irwin, Yaminah Merando, and Matthew Merando; a great granddaughter Paige; and a brother, Robert (Mabel) Fetzer.

Patricia was preceded in death by a daughter, Terrilee Merando, a granddaughter Mariah Merando and a brother Red Stroble.

A graveside service to honor the Life of Patricia will be held at 10 A.M. Tuesday, June 19 at Twin Hills Memorial Park, 3332 Lycoming Mall Road, Muncy.

The family will receive friends at a luncheon gathering immediately following the graveside service at Heshbon Park United Methodist Church, 2898 Heshbon Road, Williamsport.

Memorial contributions may be made in Patricia's name to Scott Merando, 1414 Elwood Road, Williamsport, PA 17701, to assist the family with expenses.
