Norman Keith "Weasel" Tawney

     Norman Keith “Weasel” Tawney, 60, of Williamsport died unexpectedly Thursday, December 5, 2019. Surviving is his loving wife of 42 years, Chris (Matlack) Houseweart- Tawney.

     Born December 7, 1958 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Charles N. and Edith Lorraine (Grove) Tawney.

     Keith worked for Hammaker and Lair Roofing for over 30 years.  He was a member of the former Ascension Church and the Polish Club.

     Keith was a family man with a heart of gold who wasn’t afraid to crack a joke. He loved everyone he met and was known as a dog whisperer to many. Keith was an avid Penn State and Steelers fan who could be found cheering on the games while drinking an ice cold Genesee.   

     Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Jen Freed (Seth), of Williamsport, Brandi Caputo (Rodney), of Williamsport, Bob Houseweart (Kayleigh), of Iowa, Heather Painter (Butch), of Williamsport, and Gwenda Cohick (Joe), of Mifflinburg; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Delores Glanzer, of Winter Haven, Fla., Judith Fisher (Ed), of Jersey Shore, and Phyllis Stewart (Kenny), of Jersey Shore.

     In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Tawney and two brothers, Wayne and Charles Tawney.

     In honor of Keith’s birthday, please join the family for a cold Genny at the Polish Club, 2009 Boyd St. Williamsport after 2 p.m. today.
