N. Joann Weidman, 90, of Williamsport, died peacefully, Friday, June 1, 2018 at Rose View Center, Williamsport.
Born January 30, 1928 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of Jesse and Hazel (Funk) Strasburg.
She was preceded in death by first husband James F. Luse, second husband Norman W. Marquardt, and third husband Walter E. Weidman, a son Steven J. Luse, and four siblings Phyllis Smith, Maxine Stryker, Donna Blanchard, and Richard Strasburg.
For many years Joann worked as a waitress and then in the cafeteria department for Williamsport Area School District. Joann was a member of the Christian Church at Cogan Station, where she was a member of their Bible Study Group and volunteered for many of their activities. She was a volunteer for the Salvation Army and a member of the Salvation Army Ladies Auxiliary, volunteering countless hours at their stores. She enjoyed shopping, and all her time with her family especially at the pool and family reunions.
Surviving are four children Nancy L. Corage (Dewey) of Linden, Glenn R. Luse (Lois) of Williamsport, Norman W. “Billy” Marquardt of Philadelphia, and Steven C. Marquardt of Proctor, five grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and a brother David Strasburg of Warrensville.
A celebration of her life will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, June 9 at the Christian Church of Cogan Station 5904 Lycoming Creek Road Cogan Station. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
