Margaret F. "Peggy" (Ottenmiller) Herb

Margaret F. "Peggy" Herb, 68, of Williamsport, passed away suddenly Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, at Bucktail Medical Center in Renovo.
Born Dec. 15, 1951, in Williamsport, she is a daughter of Margaret F. (Lomison) Ottenmiller, of Williamsport, and the late John R. Ottenmiller.

Peggy was a graduate of Williamsport High School. She had a spunky personality, was friendly to all and was active in her church when her health allowed. Peggy enjoyed the thrill of a murder mystery, watching her favorite true crime TV shows, and she was an avid collector of lighthouses and wolves. Most of all, she loved the time she spent with her family, being "Mom" and "Gram."

Surviving are her children, Kathy A. Steppe (Jason), of Williamsport, James H. Herb III (Shanna), of Renovo, and John D. Herb (Christina), of Nanticoke; four grandchildren, Michael Packer Jr., Jessica Packer, John Herb Jr., and Katelyn Herb; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers, Terry (Lycia), George (Debra), Robert (Kelly), and Guy (Trudy) Ottenmiller; one sister, Mary Ann (John) Striebich; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, Peggy was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kandy Fay Herb, and two brothers, John R. Jr., and Harry Ottenmiller.

A funeral service to honor the life of Peggy will be held 2 p.m, Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. Burial will follow. A viewing will be held from 1 p.m until the time of service on Wednesday at Sanders.
