Joseph Dale “Joe” Potrzebowski, 38, of Williamsport passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 14, 2019 at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport.
Born February 24, 1981 in Williamsport he was the son of Floyd J. “Sonny” and Della J. (Pittenger) Potrzebowski. He left behind two beautiful daughters, Adele Layne and Sonni June, whom he loved very much.
Joe was a 1999 graduate of Liberty High School and worked at Savoy Furniture, Montoursville. He was a performer at heart and was active in many bands and performances over the years. “Wilted Lettuce” was his first band and most recently he could be found playing at local bars with Ghaziyah Hunafa and their band “Whoever You Are”. He was a lover of all things music and could tell you everything about songs and music in any genre. His loving personality and rocker heart will be truly missed by many.
Surviving in addition to his parents and daughters are his siblings, Debra Scrooby (Steve), of Williamsport, Edward Potrzebowski, of Jamestown, NY, Niel Potrzebowski, of Williamsport, Spring Gatling (Rudy), of Flordia, Dustin Potrzebowski (Chad), of Williamsport, Eddie Harer (Penny), of Roaring Branch, and Angela Upham, of Liberty.
A graveside service to honor the life of Joe will be 2:30 p.m. Monday October 21, at Wildwood Cemetery, 91 Wildwood Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
Even in death Joe gave the gift of life as an Organ donor. In lieu of flowers the family asks for cards and contributions to be sent directly to his loved ones to help with expenses.
