Jean E. Michaels, 89, of Williamsport, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, March 24, 2017 at AristaCare of Loyalsock. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Kenneth H. Michaels in 2007

Born July 9, 1927 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of John and Maria (Felicetti) Bruno.

Jean was a 1945 graduate of Williamsport High School. She was a member of Oak Grove Alliance Church, where she was active in many youth activities including teaching Sunday School, Bible Study Fellowship and Vacation Bible School. Jean enjoyed sewing and playing Bingo but most of all loved being with her family and would do anything for them.

Surviving are three children Sharon A. Weigle (Bill) of Linden, Linda K. Michaels -Yoder (Glen) of Duboistown, and Kenneth R. Michaels (Lynn) of Montoursville, seven grandchildren Jeremy Michaels (Tara), Tanya Slingerland (Matt), Shelly  Budinger (Lance), Pamela Tabatabai (Carmen Ferrara), Bill Weigle (Ginny), R. Frank Shank (Billie Jo), and Angel Mauro (Joshua Fogelman), 15 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and two sisters Julia Jones of NC, and Caroline Fessler of Williamsport.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son Keith Allen Michaels, granddaughter Willie Ann Crowe, three brothers Anthony, Joseph, and Thomas Bruno and a sister Lucille Pennino.

A funeral service to honor Jean’s life will be held  1:30 p.m.  Wednesday, March 29 at Sanders Mortuary 821 Diamond St. Williamsport. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Tuesday at Sanders Mortuary.
