Jane E. Lee “Cookie”, 71, of Cogan Station, died peacefully Thursday, May 10, 2018, at the Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, William L. Lee Sr. on February 13, 2013.
Born October 5, 1946 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Edward R. and Margaret E. (Klopp) Bergey.
She was a 1965 graduate of South Williamsport High School. Jane was employed by Wegmans since their opening 22 years ago where she worked in the Photo center and then became known as ‘Miss Jane’ working in the WKids center for the last 16 years. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and playing on her tablet. Jane enjoyed going on vacation to the beach and enjoyed eating, especially shrimp. She was full of life, always had a story to tell, and loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are a son, William L. Lee Jr. (Sherrie) of Jersey Shore; a daughter, Sherry E. Lee of Cogan Station; three grandsons, Brandon Lee, Kevin and Brad Shuman; a great-granddaughter, Jayden Shuman; a sister, Sherry Miller, of Duboistown; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Jane is preceded in death by three sisters; Bonnie Rummings, Joanne Rogers, and Margaret Weigel.
A memorial service to honor the life of Jane will be held 7pm Monday May 14, 2018 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. Visitation will be held from 6-7pm Monday at Sanders Mortuary.
