Jane F. Snyder, 93, of Loyalsock Twp., died Wednesday, June 28, 2017 peacefully at home, surrounded by her family.

Born March 25, 1924 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Darwin S. and Elsie M. (Kremser) Donachy. She was preceded in death by her high school sweet heart and husband of 70 years, Willard L. Snyder on August 28, 2015, and a son Craig W. Snyder.

Jane was a 1942 graduate of Williamsport High School. She was a member of the former Church of the Savior Lutheran from 1932 until its closing in 2014, where she was active through the years and a current member of St. Matthew Lutheran.  Jane was a past president of Loyalsock Elementary PTA when her children were young.

She was a devoted mother and homemaker. In 1968 she and her husband Willard acquired Williamsport Saddlery Company and in 1972 renamed it to Willard’s Saddlery and moved the business to Westminster Drive before their retirement in 1986. Jane enjoyed reading, bowling, and loved adopting dogs from the local SPCA to give them “forever retirement homes.”

Surviving are her daughters, Susan (Ron) Quigel of Montoursville, Kathryn Snyder, of Loyalsock Twp., seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and a third great great grandchild soon to be born.

In keeping with her wishes funeral services will be private and burial will be held in Montoursville Cemetery.
