Geordan Anthony Grieco, 27, formerly of Williamsport, Pa. passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 6, 2017.
Born June 15, 1989, in Harrisburg, Pa, he was a son of George D. Grieco and Cathy Lee Funk.
Geordan graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 2007 and from Bucknell University in 2011 with a degree in Business Management. While attending Bucknell Geordan was also a Fundraising Manager for the University.
Geordan was employed as a Worldwide Account Manager for FedEx Corporate Services in New York City and was one of their youngest members. He provided many hours of volunteer service with FedEx, Habitat for Humanity, N.J., State Food Bank and painting and remodeling several schools. Geordan had a huge heart, especially for his Hoboken N.J. homeless man, who he always fed on the way home from 7- Eleven.
Geordan loved spending time with his family and friends, exploring, traveling, reading and writing, going to the movies, museums and singing karaoke with his friends and sister. He also enjoyed photography and took the most wonderful pictures. As a child, Geordan played soccer. He organized sporting events for his father and assisted his siblings with mock interviews. He was baptized, confirmed and attended St. Joseph the Worker Parish with his grandfather as much as possible.
Surviving are his parents, George D. (Jill) Grieco and Cathy Funk (Darwin Morse) all of Williamsport; his siblings, Logan and Nicolas Grieco and Ashlyn Case, all of Williamsport; stepsister, Kirsten Morse; paternal grandparents, Carmine and Ruth Grieco and Ed and Margaret "Mammy" Porter; maternal grandparents, Edward and Marta "Gram" Funk, and Sandra "Nanny" Yocum; uncles and aunts , Timothy Grieco, Vince (Mary) Grieco, Todd Funk, Jarrod Funk, Duane Neufer (Kim Dymeck),Toni (Frank) DiRuscio, Tammy (Joe) Cannicci, Cathy Deitrich, Robin Deitrich, Kelly Grieco, Darla (Keith) Emig, Bonnie Reynolds, Raenell Mull, Karen Geisinger, Lori (Joe) Caprio and Bobbi Grieco; Godmother, Binkle Snyder; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a paternal grandmother, Patricia Grieco; a maternal grandmother, Shirley Funk-Watson; and Godfather, Elwood Snyder.
A viewing and service to honor the life of Geordan will be held for the family at their discretion with the Rev. Dr. J. Morris Smith, officiating.
