Frederick L. Michael

Frederick L. Michael Sr., 88, of Williamsport, died peacefully Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at ManorCare North.

Born Oct. 17, 1929, in Williamsport, he was son of the late Willard Michael and Fanny (Harman) McGraw.

Fred was a graduate of South Williamsport Area High School and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He retired after 35 years of employment from Schnadig International Furniture. Fred enjoyed family picnics and after retirement he  continued providing for his family working part time jobs. He loved watching sports, especially the Philadelphia teams. 

Surviving is his wife, Lorraine A. (Keller) Michael, whom he married Feb 19, 1953; 6 children: Frederick L. Michael, Jr., Rickey A. Michael, Steven L. Michael, Julie L. Michael, Jamie J. Michael, and Lisa M. Michael, all of Williamsport; two grandchildren, Austin W. Bloom, of Charlotte, N.C. and Natashia L. Michael, of Williamsport; and two sisters, Grace Winter, of Williamsport and Sally Packard, of Jersey Shore. 

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a son, David W. Michael; a sister, Lois Pandolfi; and four brothers, Monroe, Melvin, Raymond, and Meredith Michael.

Services will be held privately.
