Frederick M. Fox Sr., 66, of Williamsport, died Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born August 25, 1950, in Williamsport, he was a son of Bernadine M. (Horton) Fox.

Fred worked for the City of Williamsport Streets and Parks Department for over 40 years. He enjoyed and cherished the time with his family, fishing, boating, camping, and playing cards. He was known to make the best brownies and chocolate peanut butter fudge.

Surviving are his wife Gail S. (Fillman) Fox, whom he married Nov. 20, 1976; a daughter, Michelle L. Fox (Tyrone Cox), of Williamsport; a son, Frederick M. Fox Jr. (Deanna Cioffi), of Montoursville; three grandchildren, Terrell M. Scott, Jayden T. Cox, and Mackenzie M. Fox; four step-grandchildren, Zachery A. Cioffi, and Michael E., Calogero J. and Bianca M. Signor; one step-great grandchild; a sister, Patricia Richter, of Lockwood, N.Y.; a brother, LeRoy "Doc" Fox (Kathy Santalucia), of Muncy; and several nieces and a nephew.

Fred was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Howard (Red) Richter.

In keeping with his family's wishes services will be private.
