Florence Reed Obituary

Florence E. Reed, 80, of Williamsport, died Sunday October 20, 2019 at her home.

Born May 17, 1939 in Williamsport, Florence was a daughter of the late Allen R. and Alta L. (Eder) Welch.

Florence worked as a caregiver for Homemaker Home Health for 35 years. She loved to dance Polka and attend Bingo.

Surviving are; two sons, Dennis Reed (Sue) and Steven Reed (Karen); a daughter Judy McCormick (Mike); seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a brother Gordon Welch; and a sister Sara Holeren.

In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by four sisters, Kathryn Fisher, Lois Boring, Agnes Davis, and Grace and Margaret Pepperman; two brothers, Merle and Richard Welch; and a grandson James G. Reed.

A graveside service to honor the life of Florence will be held 1 p.m. Friday, October 25, at Woodward Township Cemetery, 20 Chapel Hill Rd, Linden.

Memorial contributions may be made in Florence’s name to Susquehanna Health Foundation c/o Susquehanna Home Care and Hospice, 1001 Grampian Boulevard, Williamsport, PA 17701.
