Elizabeth H. Wein, 96, of Williamsport, died peacefully at her daughter’s home on Sunday December 3rd 2017.

Born February 4, 1921 in Arnot, she was the daughter of Harry and Ethel (Landis) Roupp.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Gilmore J. Wein in 1983, a son Roger A. Wein in 2004, and two brothers, Lloyd and Paul Roupp.

Elizabeth was an office secretary for 28 years at Chemcoat in Montoursville and also had worked at Williamsport Paper Box. She enjoyed reading and crocheting. Elizabeth enjoyed being around people and spending time with her family.

Surviving are a daughter Dorothy Y. van Valkenburg of Williamsport, four grandchildren, Wendy Armes, Daniel van Valkenburg, Linda Shultz, and Elisabeth van Valkenburg, four great- grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and three nieces.

A funeral service to honor the life of Elizabeth will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 7 at Community Baptist Church 1853 State Route 87 Montoursville. A viewing will be held from 1:30-2 p.m. Thursday at Community Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions may be made to the Mission Fund at Community Baptist Church.
