Dorothy W. Crist, 82, died peacefully Friday January 19, 2018 at her son’s home in Orangeville.
Born January 9, 1936 in West Chester, she was a daughter of the late William T. and Helen J. Powell Way, Sr.
Dorothy was a 1953 graduate of Williamsport High School. She retired from Pullman Power Products where she was a secretary in the employee benefits department.
Dorothy was a member of Jersey Shore Presbyterian Church and the Red Hat Society.
Surviving are her children, Douglas Greiner of Williamsport, David Greiner of King George, VA, Darren (Heidi) Greiner of Orangeville; step-children, Carl (Roxanne) Crist, Jr. of Avis and Connie Corter of Jersey Shore; siblings, George O. (MaryLou), Robert J. (Patricia), Rick A. (Joyce), Ronald E. (MaryAnn), and David (Kathy) A. Way, Ruth Lesko (John), Ann L. Rush and ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Carl A. Crist, Sr., a daughter Diane Ortega, and six siblings, Mabel Davidson, William T. Way, Helen Hebert, James Way, Nancy Way, and Oscar Way.
A funeral service to honor the life of Dorothy will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Jersey Shore Presbyterian Church, 235 South Main Street, Jersey Shore with Rev. Charles Winkelman, officiating. There will be a viewing Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport.
Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jersey Shore Presbyterian Church.
