Donald Richardson

Donald “Cappy” Richardson, 90, of Williamsport, died Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at UPMC-Susquehanna Williamsport.

Born September 29, 1927 in Throop, he was a son of Elijah Richardson and Ann Stedina.

Donald was a 1945 graduate of Throop High School and attended Notre Dame University. Cappy retired in 1992 from Glyco/Lonza after working over 30 years. He was a Chef de Gar of the 40/8, and a member of the American Legion Post 617 for 72 years having served as past commander and other offices. He enjoyed puzzles and reading.

 Surviving are three children Ann Harris of Williamsport, Catherine DeVaul (John) of Renovo, and Stephen Richardson of Florida, a son-in-law Randy Edge of Cleremont, GA, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and two great- great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Deborah Edge, son-in-law Donald Harris, grandson Donavan Harris, and two great grandsons.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, August 20 at All Saints Memorial Episcopal Church, 1656 Scott Street, Williamsport.  Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
