Deloris M. Lewis, 83, of Williamsport, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, in her home. Surviving is her husband of 64 years, Roy G. Lewis Sr.


Born May 21, 1934, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Floyd V. and Dorothy O. (Greenawalt) Holmes Sr.


Deloris was a loving mother who adored her family. She loved to shop, make crafts and enjoyed playing cards. She treasured her role as a mother and even more as a grandmother.


Surviving in addition to her husband are five children, Roy G. Lewis Jr. (Gail), Mary Lewis-Hamman (Sam), all of Williamsport, Connie Lewis-Schell (Robert), of Jersey Shore, Dorothy Lewis-Mayer (Michael), and Keith Lewis (Bobbi) all of Williamsport; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Floyd V. Holmes Jr. (Judy), of Bethlehem, Larry R. Holmes of Petal, MS; sister-in-law Connie Holmes, of Muncy; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved beagle dog, Abby.


Deloris was preceded in death by a son, Dennis R. Lewis; a grandson, Brendon M. Nelson; and three brothers, Kenneth, Robert and Mark Holmes.
 

A funeral service to honor the life of Deloris will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 7 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport.
Burial will follow at Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at Sanders.
