David L. Engler, 66, of Williamsport, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019 at his home.
Born December 16, 1952 he was a son of the late Lee A. and Violet (Kaiser) Engler.
David was a 1970 graduate of South Williamsport High School. He was a well-known self-employed contractor, being the owner of Engler’s Pest Control for over 20 years and he became like family to many of his customers. Through his company he proudly supported the Williamsport Area Veterans.
David loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He played baseball and later umpired at Elm Park for many years. He was an avid pool player and played in a league at the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Surviving are his three sisters, Judith Esposito (Joseph) of Williamsport, Marjorie Baird of Williamsport, and Barbara Haner (Danny) of Vinton, VA; and two step-children, Jesse Boal of Williamsport, and Andy Irish of Montgomery. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Richard Engler.
Per the family’s request, a private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
