Darlyn N. (Gensler) Knauff

     Darlyn N. Knauff, 81, of Williamsport died Thursday, February 28, 2019 at home surrounded by her family.

     Born February 13, 1938 in Williamsport she was a daughter of the late Harry H. and Olive N. (Ford) Gensler.

     Darlyn was a 1956 graduate of Williamsport High School and worked as an aid at Roseview Center. Her most important role in life was being a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Darlyn was known for being a “mother to all” and lending a hand to anyone in need. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

     Surviving are one son, Charles L. Knauff (Lisa), of Williamsport; two daughters, Michelle N. Knauff (Donald), of Moncks Corner, S.C. and SuzAnne C. Knauff- Dressler (Jeremy), of Mifflinburg ; seven grandchildren, Kyle L. Fisher, of Williamsport, Corey N. Goode (Jon), of Williamsport, Nichole C. Murray (Garrett), of Katy, TX, Lauren A. Murray, of South Williamsport, Taylor J. Hennigan, of Williamsport, Tyler J. Hennigan, of Williamsport, and Hunter L. Dressler, of Mifflinburg; seven great grandchildren, Gaven Servey, Bradyn Goode, Kyleigh Forward, Makaeli Kinney, Summer Kreamer, Oryen Ensanian, and Bryson Fisher; and her two beloved dogs Newt and Chanel.

     In addition to her parents, Darlyn was preceded in death by her daughter Kim L. Knauff on  August 18, 2002.

     A memorial service to honor the life of Darlyn will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, March 9th at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Williamsport. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the time of service. 

     In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Darlyn’s name to the Susquehanna Health Foundation, c/o Susquehanna Home Care & Hospice, 1001 Grampian Boulevard Williamsport, PA 17701 or the Lycoming County S.P.C.A., 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.

     The family would like to thank all of Darlyn’s caregivers for their love and compassion.
